Science has not finished totally decoded the inner workings of the brain so I am not sure it is possible or plausible to have every brain cell active.

It's impossible to activate them all at once, mainly because not all brain cells are used for thinking. The brain is composed of neurons (the ones that conduct signals) and glial cells, which structurally support the neurons, filter out toxins in the blood, and act as an immune system for the brain, among other things. These simply don't work the same way as neurons.

As for the neurons themselves, you couldn't activate all of them at once. Message conduction through the brain is a little like dominoes, where one neuron triggers a response in another neuron, which triggers a response in yet another. It's more complicated than that, since a third neuron can intervene and block a signal, or amplify it, but the basic analogy holds. Activating all of your brain cells at once would be like knocking down every single domino at once. Any sort of message would be lost in the clutter. It would probably be like receiving a massive electrical shock to your brain, and would cause unconsciousness or even death (if your brain couldn't reset all of the 'dominoes' for nice orderly chain reactions to occur again).

The popular belief that people only use 10% of their brain at a time is a total myth. It's true that you don't use all of it at one time, but that doesn't mean that there's a large percentage left to be 'unlocked.' The key to improving brain power would not be in activating more regions of your brain, but by increasing interconnectivity within it. This can be done by challenging your brain, studying (not just memorizing), and just going out and experiencing life.

By challenging our brains through reading, learning, and application. Doing cross-word puzzlers can be very challenging for the brain and can activate your brain cells, in my opinion.

take the light bulb out of a lamp, stand in a bath tub full of water, and stick your thumb in the lamp socket. This will activate all of your brain cells for a very short period of time.

If u are talking about "we only use 10% of our brain" than this is a myth.

Blinky is right, dont know about "visualizing your brain glowing green" or "try moving objects with your mind power" though

I think if I'm not wrong, human being are only using on average 3-5 percent of the brain. One would be considered to be a genius if he is able to utilise that 5percent and I guess he will be a super genius if he hits 10%. So dun worry about it. At least you are not alone. There are people out there who uses only that 3-5 % and managed to live till ripe old age.
