Braveheart: More epic. The "I am William Wallace" speech, and the part where he slits the guy's throat against the post. The king was also the best villain.
Then Gladiator: Solid movie. Crowe is excellent. Phoenix is a solid villain (not as good as longshanks though). It has the same feeling as Braveheart the twitching "Now I must kill everyone" feeling
300: A distant, distant third. Gladiator is the movie 300 wanted to be. A couple points: The king would have kicked the hunchback off the mountain when he proved to him he couldn't raise his shield. He wouldn't just change his culture because modern people would feel it was wrong. Xerxes wasn't crazy enough (this is a guy who history told us whipped the waves and tried to command the tide from coming in). The CGI wolf scene in the beginning was a sign to me that they were going to do dumb effects and think that that made up for good honest brutal fighting scenes--oh, and they did. I think this could have been a much better movie.
So, that's my take. I doubt it will settle anything in your office.

Kind of a hard question...I love Braveheart and Gladiator. There is just something about Braveheart though, it was an amazing film. Gladiator was great too, and the effects were awesome, and then the effects in 300??? Come on, how do you top that? So, overall movie, I think Braveheart is the best. Overall effects, hands down 300. Good question....you earned a star from me!

Well I haven't seen 300, but I can tell you that for good, realistic looking, crazy, and bloody fight scenes, braveheart tops gladiator hands down. I am a bigger fan of medieval than roman, so I am biased. I do believe that for a movie about gladiators, Gladiator should have had more fighting. They both have good solid stories though.

This is a hard one, they were all great movies. They each captured snipits of actual events, of coarse Hollywood will glorify the actual battle scenes. If you are asking about the acting I think Braveheart has the best acting and directing in it, Gladiator was good also but dragged on just a bit in the middle. 300 was an aweson special effects movie with actors no one had really seen, but was a very good movie. I would be hard pressed to pick a favorite...

Let's put it this way..of the three films, the one film I like to rewind the most, just to watch a certain scene over and over again and not get bored, would be Gladiator. Braveheart comes a close second, it would've been first, but Gladiator showed more attention to details and had better lines and dialogues. "Freeedom!" and "This is Sparta!" pales in comparison to "My name is Maximus Decimus Meredius, General of the army of the North, Husband to a murd3red wife and father to a murd3red son....in this life or the next, I will have my revenge." Plus, the soundtrack was perfect.

'Gladiator' is personally my favorite because it has a very good story and great action. Not to mention superb acting. Braveheart probably has a little more heart (no pun intended) in it.
And '300' has some VERY good action. But the story i dont think can live up to either of the other mentioned.
