Wondering what peoples iq level is.. and how reliable are internet testing sites? I've done a few different ones and they have all ranged from 126 to 132. Is this good/average?

I've always been at about a 126. According to the internet testing sites, it's slightly above average.

Yes -- it is pretty good. I'd estimate that this puts you around the 85th percentile.

No two tests are alike -- which is why you get a range. Most tests will tell you the standard deviations of the test. Most of them have a standard deviation between 15% to 20%. About two thirds of the people fall within one standard deviation of 100 and 98% fall within two standard deviations.

The IQ tests I've taken on-line range between the high 130s and low 150s. But when I adjust them for the size of the standard deviation -- they are all pretty close. In addition, they are all close to the results I have had on paper IQ tests. That indicates that they are fairly reliable.

The average IQ has been rising in recent years, but 125 is still higher than "average".

Here is a general breakdown of how your scores stack up. For the record the last couple of IQ tests I have taken; one on-line and one on paper (the old-fashioned way) I scored a 152 and 156 repectively.

40 - 54 Severely challenged (Less than 1% of test takers)
55 - 69 Challenged (2.3% of test takers)
70 - 84 Below average
85 - 114 Average (68% of test takers)
115 - 129 Above average
130 - 144 Gifted (2.3% of test takers)
145 - 159 Genius (Less than 1% of test takers)
160 - 175 Extraordinary genius

Average is 90-110. 120-132 is above average.

The internet IQ tests give you a ball park figure. They are fairly accurate, but not perfect due to being much shorter than standard IQ tests.

You are obviously brighter than average and should try to enroll in the advanced placement/honors classes in school to maximize your potential.

I'd say they're pretty reliable. Of course, I've taken them with my dad and mother, and we've both said some questions made no sense. I believe I've gotten anywhere from 118 to 142. Which means I'm average to some, but above average to most.

Profound mental retardation (MR) below 20 or 25
Severe MR 20-25 to 35-40
Moderate MR 35-40 to 50-55
Mild MR 50-55 to about 70
Borderline 70-79
Dull normal 80 to 90
Normal 90 to 110
Bright normal 110 to 120
Superior 120 to 130
Very superior 130 and above

I took an I.Q. Test 2 weeks ago, to see if I could apply for certain grants or loans for college. I scored a 128. But honestly, I.Q. isn't very important, I'm really lazy sometimes and tend to procrastanate. My high school grades were low, but I'm making up for that now in college. I woldn't take internet sites seriously, but they do ask the kinds of questions you would find on an I.Q. test, reasoning, logic and mental calculation. On most internet sites I score between 114 and 160

im 14 an dtook the bbc iq test. and i got 107.
considering that they dont have a categorie for my age range i had to use the results from the 18-30 categorie im thinking it would be higher if there was one for my age.
the highest you can get is 145 i think and lowest is about 75 so you are average/above average i'd say

Average IQ is 100. 125 or above is very intelligent. Online sites are not very reliable. I was in Mensa.

My score was a 130 from an on-line test, that is supposedly above average, but I don't think on line test are very accurate.
