It is certainly possible to frame Satan as the good guy as a thought experiment. I've done it a couple times myself.
Step 1: Assume the roles are reversed but the actions are generally not. God is, in fact, a bad guy who wants the ruination of mankind while Satan is the creator and a good guy who wants people to be happy.
Step 2: Re-interpret God's events. As the bad guy, it serves God's ends to discredit Satan as much as possible. In fact, if God can create a religion which constantly smears Satan as a malignant liar (basically attributing God's evil motives to Satan) and crush all Satan worshipping, he'll be doing quite well. One might even say that this explains rather well how a supposedly good diety repeatedly causes wars and even destroys sections and nearly all of humanity, and also how a diety who supposedly treasures free will would then create all kinds of rules about how you're not supposed to use it.
Step 3: Re-interpret Satan's events. Well, we know that Satan is often encouraging people to do things that feel good. Maybe he's really just some kind of hippy who made mankind to just get some 'good vibrations' going. No wonder he thinks drugs, sex, and partying are all okay - it's just to spread joy. What God sees as temptations and weaknesses are just the way Satan made people to be.
Ta-da! Satan is just a peace-loving fun guy to have around, and God is a lying, mass-murdering control freak. Of course, this is all just a thought experiment, and any blasphemy you may perceive was purely hypothetical.
Peace.

We are given free will so we can chose to live by the will of god. The concept of evil is really man made. Looking through the bible I see it generally referred to when a person goes against the will of god.
If you believe in all the fire and brimstones then evil conjures up pain and suffering from a physical sense.
Some view it as a name describing an act of turning away from god or not accepting the will of god. This can be painful to some.
Alot of these wordings goes back to the days when scholars are trying to scare the peasants into believing so controlling them is abit easier.

RE:
Is Satan evil?
It is said that god loved us so much he gave us the most precious gift that was granted no other in his creation, freewill. So if only we have free will, angels, including fallen ones, don’t. Which brings the question is Satan responsible for anything she does?

She? I don't think I've ever heard of Satan being referred to as she. anyway...
That is a very good question, and doesn't have a simple answer. The same sort of question could be asked of Judas, since part of the prophesy of the Christ said that he had to be betrayed. I think your logic is correct, Satan himself has no free will. His desire for it is part of the reason for his fall. Angel's (as it is told) do not have free will, and do not have an opportunity for redemption like we do. One sin from an angel, eternal damnation.
If also raises another question, did God create evil? If God (the christian God that is) is all good and can do no wrong, then how could he create evil? He created Satan; and knew he was going to revolt against him, but created him anyway. And if Satan was created for no other reason other than to create and rule over hell, is it really his fault that he is doing exactly that? His fate, decided before he was created, was eternal damnation to hell. That doesn't sound very fair to me.

That question is more for you to decide in your own means. In most religions you cannot have the good without the bad. That doesn't necessarily mean in deities but within the human soul alone.
Check out these websites that are pretty helpful.
Beliefnet.com and religioustolerance.org. They explain all the religions even down to satanism if need be. But its helpful to understand what is out there. You are obviously starting to question your spirituality.

Satan and all other angels have free will, God has free will also.
Satan is evil and perhaps the most insanely intelligent being in existence presently. He is however rationally pursuing his insane purpose of destruction and mayhem.

No, Satan is a socially created concept to represent the forces of conflict and contradiction that exist in the world. when there is resistance to our goals, we call this Satan. Satan is anything that stands in our way from achieving our goals.

I don't believe in Satan. But certainly there are temptations that give us the options to do evil. Without those options, we would not have free will. The only option would be to do more good or less good???? (interesting use of the male pronoun for God and the female for Satan. I prefer the he/she connotation for God who is both sexes or no sex depending on definition)

Satan is most definitely responsible for everything HE does (the FATHER of lies and the author of confusion)
The fact that HE is confined to earth (even though HE has dominion over it) because of HIS original failings is clear sign of HIS being held "responsible" !!
And, wherein lies the claim "no other in His creation" ??
Angels are set to task by their core nature --- even fallen ones --- and WE have no knowledge of anything at all to do with their "will" for it is beyond our thinking and capabilites OF understanding !!!
And, go to the back of the book !! Take a look at where Satan will be placed at the end of the world --- sound to YOU as if HE isn't held "responsible" ??
