If you're conservative it's because he is rich.
If you're liberal is't because he is rich and gay.

Who's everybody? Why is the fact that he's Gay an issue? Is he a Jerk, does he bother everybody, is he arrogant and pretentious about his money? His sexual tendencies and his money should not be a factor to socialize with him. On the other hand his personality should determine his sociability

It should have nothing to do with either his money or his sexual preference. It should be based on his behavior. If he is offensive, aloof, or rude, don't invite him. Personally, I generally invite family even if they previously have been difficult to deal with.
Also, be prepared to live with the decision not to invite him. If he doesn't send your kids gifts for graduation or birthdays... then don't complain. If he dies and leave you nothing... then don't complain. You made the decision not to include him, so why should he include you.

Because he's family. You have at least one colorful relative at family functions or they are totally boring and you will have nothing to laugh about afterwards.

Family is family. Why should it matter if he is rich, poor, gay, straight, etc. Real families love each other unconditionally.

You can choose your friends but you can't choose your family.
Invite him. He's your blood - straight, gay, rich, poor.
If we can't depend on family, then we are all truly alone.

I say don't invite him because he obviously has a personality which instigates everyone to hate him. That issue is much more important than the other two.

This is simple... if you like him then invite him, if you don't like him then don't.
Oh and make your own money... that way you won't have to ask questions like this.
