Seriously: Condoms, lubricant, anti-diarrheals, etc. Do people actually go out of their way to steal a $4 box of generic Imodium AD?

you would be surprised- while you might be embarrassed to purchase it- other people have a huge problem with being seen buying these kind of products... what's easier to admit a.) you need a pregnancy test b.) admit nothing and steal it... you would be surprised at the amount of people that would just steal something over going through the embarrassment of purchasing it.

people are too embarassed to buy it so they steal it.. I worked in a convience liquor store they would steal anything. I caught a girl stealing a 1.19 toothbrush after paying for cigarettes soda pop and a glass pipe but stole the toothbrush. go figure

People who are too embarrassed to purchase them might steal them. That's why condom vending machines do a good business.

The drug stores I visit don't do that. Maybe they do it to prevent theft. If people are embarrassed to buy something, they may be more likely to lift it. It also could be to keep them away from curious kids.

Just for that reason - some kids will be too embarrassed to buy them and will try to steal them. Then again if you're that shy, how did you score the chick in the first place?

I think it's mostly for the condoms. There would be a lot of teenage shoplifting going on if it was possible with those.

As for the first two items, if your embaressed maybe you don't need to buy them.
As for the AD, maybe there is a ingredient that can be used for other harmful ways...that one I am clueless on.
