Just because a person states they care about the poor in other countries does not mean they should give up everything in this country. It is a fact of life that most people who claim to care about all the worlds starving people does not give up the the conveniences and luxuries they have. Let me ask you this......Do you take that "pizza money" the money you use to party with friends, that extra gas money, movie money and so on and then send to to a charity in Africa? How about Oprah Winfrey, She built school there but I sure don't see her giving up her riches in America. So I suppose it is ok for Edwards to spend whatever he wants on a haircut as long as he is not stealing it or taking it from a poor persons plate.

Well how much could the Royal Dutch Shell Company feed with one days profit or Microsoft, I don't think I need to continue because the rich feed the rich and the poor feed the poor. So your question is pointless, your mind is empty and you have fallen victim to the politicians silver tong, the media wipes theirass with minds like yours. If your so rich why don;t you give your money to the poor. I must assume you have plenty of money and would be a lowlife. Be a person stand up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I do not begrudge any man the right to spend his money on anything legal that he wishes. Nor do I have the jealous disposition that makes me say, "That person is rich, he should give it away and make himself poor like me."

I don't begrudge him his wealth. I'm a copnservative, and don't think money is evil.
But he is being hypocritical, yes.
His campaign is going nowhere. As the VP nominee he should be the frontrunner and "heir apparent" for the nomination. Yet he couldn't even deliver his home state to the ticket.
He's a blip on the screen. Almost not worth talking about.

Yeah, a person should take a vow of poverty before they run for office in the US.
That would work.
Your candidate starts first.

funny. bush spends 1 trillion on a failed war for reasons which he lied about, and you are talking about 400$.
FYI, EVERY congress member, neocons and libs, spend taxpayer money for travel and flights on jets, vacations, etc. the fat in Washington is serious issue, but it is also a bi-partisan one.

Good points there! That is why its disgusting to watch some of these high profile people talk about giving more to help people. When you start doing, then talk, if not shut up

I truly despise idiotic people like yourselves who can't see out of their rose colored glasses.
Life is not black and white, but you want it to be and that my friend, is not reality.
