My 10 month old son has Diaherra{sp } and the doc recommended me giving him applesauce, rice, toast, bannanas, along with pedilyte {sp} He does not like the Pedilyte, its apple flavored but i even tasted it and its nasty. how do i get him to drink it? any suggestions?

water is fine if he wont' drink the pedialyte... even extra diluted formula/breastmilk is good.
BRAT diet is what the doc is talking about.
bananas
rice
applesauce
toast
maybe rice cereal mixed with pedialyte & apple sauce?

There are tonnes of other rehydration solutions that you can use that you can make at home and taste way better.
Also breastfed babies should only be offered ORS if they will not take breastmilk from the breast, from a cup, or by spoon. Breastmilk has the same mineral salt content as ORS but it has antibodies to actually help the child fight infection.

just give him rice and bananas but not apple, and have him drink a lot of water, these 2 things will make him well,

You should try the Pedialyte popsicles. . . most kids LOVE them and they are more fun.
