What is the proof of discrimination in religion?

Is it not in minority quotas? And if all the data is hidden, where are we with that?

Well Gregory,

Then how is an employer gonna show that they hire religious minorities? How do they prove that? Answer is the law is unconstitutional and has no meat behind it because the burden is on the person trying to get a job and not with the employer who is being dishonest!

Well consider that religious minorities have rights too! So it is the law to equal out the hiring of minorities is it not? And does that not give priority to religious and other minorities? Why should religion be any different?

Shouldn't it be the burden of the employer to show non discriminatory hiring practices? Who has availabilty to all the data if there was data? But there isn't and this is my beef! It is wrong and it needs to stop. We should reveal our religion at hiring to have statistical data to back up non discriminatory practices in hiring!

No, it is not against the law to not show preference in hiring to a particulat religion. It is, however against the law to refuse employment to someone because of their religion. In order to prove discrimination, one would be required to prove that he or she would have been hired for a position, but for religion. The burden of proof would be on the person bringing a claim. This burden can be difficult if there are more, similarly skilled applicants for the job.

No. Of course not. In fact, it's usually illegal for an employer to show preference to a person of a "minority religion" in hiring.

I believe being an equal opportunity employer makes it illegal to give preference to anyone on the basis of their race,religion or creed.

What would your religious affiliation have to do with your job unless you are an instrument of the church?

Not showing a preference in hiring is by definition nondiscriminatory.

No. Its against the law if it is proven that they didn't hire someone BECAUSE of their religion.
