Jehovah's Witnesses obey Jesus command to be no part of the world and give Cesar's things to Cesar, but God's things to God. We are required to be in subjection to superior authorities (governments) from the Bible. (John 15:19; 17:16; Mark 12:17; Romans 13:1,2; 1Peter 2:13-17)

So we obey all laws in the lands where we live unless they conflict with God's Laws. Taxes, traffic laws, social laws, to name a few are obeyed, period. Joining political parties, participating in fights between nations, oaths to allegiance to the state are not as we already owe our allegiance to Jehovah's Kingdom government where Jesus is King.

For us, there is a clear separation between church and state.

The US government hasn't separated the two- completely. A perfect contemporary example is Iran.

Please, George W. Bush. I'm asking nicely. DROP A NUKE ON TEHRAN ALREADY! Avenge the American lives lost Sept. 11th, 2001.
