Why don't Libs do more to help the poor with their own money?

Libs seem to want more money put into their own pockets.

They don't want to PERSONALLY help the poor, they want to force everyone else to do it so they feel good about it.

that's simple enough to answer they know all that money is going to their state. so why shouldn't they want you to spend your money on them? look at Katrina as an example, after the fed spends 114 billion and don't forget about the multiple 100s of millions of dollars we as individuals gave to help these people they are still angry because the gravy train has slowed down. i mean get a job quit being depended on every one else. we don't have a problem giving to the needy its the ones who never use it constructively and become a burden on society we have a problem with! if they want to get angry with someone maybe they should look to themselves or their elected Representatives in La. instead of being mad at the fed.

This survey count Churches. Churches are NOT charities. It was also a survey of how much the respondents thought they gave to charity. Cons reported higher numbers......and we know how they like to lie about their 'charity'. And the tax survey just proves that cons cheat on their taxes...big shocker there.

Democrats believe it is the Governments responsibility to help the poor and the Republicans believe people should stand on their own tow feet, and depend on charitable institutions when they are in need.

I, for one, give less money to charity than wealthy conservative families *might* because I 1) spend all my time actually working for the charity and 2) don't make much of my own money as a result.

Here's the problem.It's been shown that conservatives tend to give to charities that are part of their particular religious denomination,which in turn,tends to help members of said denomination first,while liberals tend to give to secular charities.

What I'm saying is,conservatives tend to help their "own" while liberals tend to help anyone.

if you are going to make a broad sweeping generalization that's fine, as long as you are stating an opinion. if you are going to pretend that its fact, however, you will need some proof, or else no one is going to take you seriously.
