Fordman hit it on the head. I didn't know they sold those short flanged sections anymore. If you live in a state where your year vehicle gets "tubed" at inspection time I wouldn't bother dropping the converter[s] if you have more than one.
If you want to upgrade an exhaust system which already has headers install a Howe Racing Enterprises Power X pipe behind both converters. It balances exhaust pulses to improve power output on dual pipe systems.

A length of pipe that is used in place of the catalytic converter.
