Relatively quiet day. Kate and I did one interview in the morning for a newspaper- that I managed to finish, probably because the journalist stuck to questions that I am allowed to give answers to!

hi lexi ,he could have been polite, and said so, and used the opportunity to make another appeal for his daughter, but no he just walks out when a valid question is asked of him.
the question that sent him to throw a tantrum was,,were you the last person to see Madeleine alive? answer to that one is simple, yes or no.
and that would not break the portugese law.

hi jack h,, like i have already said in another post, the DNA was most likely to be recovered from the car the maccanns hired, and you can be sure that good old Eddie the cadaver dog had alittle sniff in that car too.
the results are not being released, most likely because they are now evidence.

lonon on line,, he was only too happy to talk to the media ,when they were all for the maccanns, now they are not he getts all upset,, you have to take the good with the bad.
what the media are trying to do by asking these questions, is to get to the truth as to waht happened to madeleine,, i thought thats what the maccanns wanted too?

lexi, attack is always the best form of defence, when you caught in a corner.
you can see that in here daily with the maccann supporters when they cant answer a valid question, they just start insulting, and attacking

hi lexi,, i do not mean people like your good self, you answer the questions with out insulting, and you are right the insults comes from both sides.

Again.........

Gerry walked out of the interview upset, after the journalist persisted in asking questions related to the investigation. He didn´t storm out as I have seen suggested.

He came back and finished the interview politely , talked about his daughter, making a fresh appeal for information.

May I just make the following point , and this is not my opinion but a staement of what actually happened;

The interview resumed and the questions continued, with the mccanns answering (and refuting) allegations that they had drugged their children.
The journalist who did the interview Jordi Gonzalez did not at any stage dramatise Gerry`s walking out if the interview, nor did he cricise this action or try to read anything into it nor try to infer any type of "guilt"..........
In the panel discussion after the interview(the panel was comprised of several journalists ) the reaction towards the Mccans immediately after viewing the interview was highly sympathetic.
Nobody condoned the leaving of the children , but all crticised the cruel insinuations and speculation.
Jordi Gonzalez commented to the effect that he felt deeply sympathetic to the family and all the journalists wished them well.

Now, If the journalist who actually interviewed them did not sensationalise the fact that Gerry got upset nor comment on this in any negative way ., and was indeed highly sympathetic..........why are so many people on YA trying to make something of it?

Speculation based on hearsay and rumours helps nobody.

Hi justme backagain. I live in Spain and saw the interview. He didn't walk out over the question about whether he was the last person to see Maddie alive, He said he couldn't answer that question as it was subject to the police enquiry. He walked out when the interviewer asked him how he felt when blood was found in the apartment but surely his personal feelings are not subject to the enquiry. That's why I couldn't understand him walking out. He gives me the chills.

Correction, he managed to finish the interview because he made sure there were no awkward questions beforehand.
I think Gerry walked out of the Spanish interview because his conscience got the better of him.It certainly showed him up to be an arrogant man. He loves the media when he can call the shots but when he can't he treats people like dirt.

Because Gerry McCann is not used to, or happy, answering to others. It's called arrogance.

The problem is the McCanns are the story - you hardly hear Madeleine mentioned nowadays. They created a media circus around themselves and now the pressure is getting to them.

The faster they realise their mistake - get back to work and out of the limelight the better. Then perhaps and only then will the focus come off them and back to Madeleine where it belongs!

Something must have spooked him. Maybe things are getting to close to the truth for his comfort. Everything is going alright when it is going his way. Any other way and he can't cope.

If he can't answer them Just, then he can't answer them.

Not sure what else he can do.

edit - if, as some of you believe (not you just) that Gerry has played a part in her disappearance (apart from leaving them) then surely he would be sweetness and light to the media, if you were innocent of her disappearance you would be less than polite to newspapers who are slandering you by claiming you had something to do with her disappearance.

edit - Whoa Just.lol insulting, and attacking comes from both sides.. You have to agree with me Just, there have been some very sick and disturbing posts from so called 'antis' over the last couple of months. The majority of the antis have based their arguments on speculation, very few hard facts have come to light in this case other than they left their kids alone that night.

I leapt from the fence when I started to see posts mentioning the fact that they were white British and middle class and their daughter was pretty and blond, these terms were used in a derogatory way, and last time I checked, none of those are crimes.

I have had more violations for sticking to facts than you would care to shake a stick at!

Ive still given you a star though, good question!

He just oozes guilt as far as i can see..In the beginning i felt a little sympathy for them but it didn't last..Just his body language is enough to convince me he's hiding lots..So,if he's asked something which he hasn't already prepared the answer to,he's more likely to blow than behave in a reasonable manner...
