Now let me make this point very clear with regard to transmitting of obscene adult messages through mobile phones or internet or by any other mode to others becomes an offence under the provisions of the Information Technology Act, under section 67 or under section 292 of The Indian Penal Code or any other provision with regard to such transmission or circulation that such complaint under these relevant provisions can be made against the person who transmits these or publish or causes to be published by only the person who read, see or hear the matter contained or embodied in it . Till the person who has not received such a material him or her self is not bothered about such obscene contents in such material nor is he or she make public to others to read, see or hear it that will effect or corrupt the mind of other people with regards to it being obscene nature till then no offence is being committed. Any such communication amongst the friends is not any crime or offence but once it becomes public & other people hear or see or read it as the case may be & if any of them makes a complaint against it, since this material had corrupted his or her mind then such person can make a complaint against it. So take care while indulging in such transmission or publication of such obscene material amongst your friends whom you can trust & make it a point not to indulge unknown person to hear or see or read such material.

Using electronic medium to pass obscene material is illegal under Information Technology Act and Sec. 292 IPC as well as other laws relating to women.

From what I hear about the obsenity laws in India that would most likely fall under the illegal umbrella.

No Mark Foley, it's not legal to do that with underage staff.
Otherwise it is, although I don't know what laws are in India.
