one thing i hate about vegans is how they try to rub it in your face that they're better than you because they don't eat meat.

Well they are wrong. Livestock is the number 3 producer of methane. Number one is our own gab rage (landfills) and number two is vented natural Gas.

So the next question is, is this amount of methane a bigger contribute to global warming than carbon dioxide (which is emitted by burning fuel). Well 82% of greenhouse gas is CO2, 9% is methane, of which less than a quarter comes from livestock. So livestock contributes to 2% of total greenhouse gas.

Methane has a much more powerful greenhouse effect, than CO2, but CO2 is still the bigger contributer by sheer volume.

About the only thing right in this is that the Greenhouse gas emmissions from livestock are indeed more than the greenhouse gas emissions from SUV's (or any specific vehicle type). Most CO2 comes from powerplants, not cars and trucks.

So to follow the logic of this would have people give up their electricity and air conditioning before their food.

No, liberals don't ask anybody to give up anything. The best, and only practical way to reduce global warming is to reduce some unnecessary consumption, a little here, a little there, and for industry to limit its emissions. Cut back on meat if you want, drive less when you can, buy energy saving compact fluorescent bulbs... things like that. There's no need to go hysteric, as you seem to think.

no way they will can you imagine all the slaughtering and underground business that would start and besides that meat is probably so high onto global warming cause we transport it all over the world and there wern't ghlobal warming issuses in the stone age (i think)

If they quit meat I would not vote for them and I alone would never give up meat

and i hope this is the right meat as i did not read the article lol

Actually, I'm a liberal and I've been a vegetarian for many, many years now. By the way, you may also like to know that not all vegetarians or vegans are liberals. For example, Fred Grandy, the former Republican Congressman from Iowa who starred on "The Love Boat", is a vegan.

Now that's spinning facts; It's not the act of eating meat and no one has to give it up. Methane emissions from slaughterhouses are what's contributing heavily to global warming. Cows need not be stockpiled as they are in such surplus.
So I guess in a way you're correct because so many people's need for meat causes these things to occur. I won't be giving it up anytime soon though.

NO NO NO that is not how it works

You have to give up your SUVs and eating meat.

AKA Edwards, Gore and the rest of the moonbat people who believe in man made global warming.

No it's not. Please get your facts straight.

Livestock are responsible for 5.1% of worldwide anthropogenic greenhouse gas emissions. Cars are responsible for 9.9%.

In the US cars are responsible for 21.6% with livestock at just 2.5%. Sources below.

I'm sure you'll correct your error, right? I await your correction with baited breath.

I doesn't surprize me. They claim that everything affects global warming. I'm not going to give up my lifestyle because they don't like it.
