I am finishing up my 2nd and last shot on Depo (I hate it). I am a pretty active person but have been so tired lately and I was wondering if it could be Depo related. I have a full time job, eat well, and workout 4-5 times a week. Yesterday though, I just crashed. I got home from work and slept from 5:45pm till 6:30am this morning. I have not experienced weight gain but have had complete problems losing weight. I've come to the conclusion I just won't lose any until I"m off the shot. This tired thing though is really annoying and making it hard to stay awake at work or do things after work.

Anyone had similar problems?

Yeah I had problems with that. For the longest time I thought it was "just me" and to deal with it but now that more and more women are speaking up about this poison I realize it was the drug and not really me at all.

Glad to hear you are getting OFF that stuff!

I had the weight gain problem but not the tiredness. I don't think fatigue is a side effect from the Depo shot. Check yiur vitamin intake since you work out so much...you may be missing something. A little hint - take over the counter maternity vitamins for 30 days, see if that helps. I've done it.

It very well could be. I just decided to go off it as well. I'm constantly tired, I get headaches, been having stomach problems and I gained 20lbs. I just don't feel like myself at all. I'm 100% done with any medicinal form of birth control.

I am a manic depressive, and they wouldn't give me the depo shot. mainly because it gives you depressive type emotions. I would highly suggest another form of birth control. If you don't smoke, try the patch. It's easy, and very affective.

I usually avoid commenting on depo. I have a bad experience of hormonal imbalance caused by it. Ad tiredness is one of the signs. Stop it immediately. Its not good for you.
