Let's suppose someone Mr X attempts suicide and hangs themself in a public place like a tree in a park.
Mrs Y comes along and finds the body. It turns out Mr X attempt failed and he lives. Mrs Y then claims she was put into a state of fear and shock and wants to press charges against Mr X. Does she have a case?

That would be a civil action. If suicide is against the law in that jurisdiction, then Mr. X could also be charged by the State. Private individuals do not "press charges." The government does.

Well that's not THE most rediculous idea I've ever come across...but definitly a top100 listing.

I'm no lawyer, but I can't possibly imagine anyone having legal grounds to sue someone for "being shocking and freaking me out". If so, there's a couple hundred thousand people out there that owe me some serious money.
