Start off with Microsoft Publisher

Quirk or Adobe In-Design (is that the right program these days?) are the "standards". But you can do it with MS Publisher which has a much lower learning curve than the others.

You can get a free desktop publishing program here, but I've never used it and don't know how powerful it is. http://www.scribus.net/

Well...First you have to know that publishing/printing a magazine will cost you alot of money....
I would recommend Photoshop to make the pictures and stuff.Then pass to Microsoft Publisher,load the pictures,put them how you want to ....and huala ^_^
