tabbyfur ,,heres a little help for you, click on my aviater, and see how long i have been aroud here, now add three more accopunts that i had suspended before that and you will see that i have been aroud her since the maccanns, abandoned their children.
also insulting people who post questions,about the maccanns, just goes to show you are not capable of giving a half decent answer, and even if you did answwer my question,, you would end up looking as foolish as the maccanns

Damage limitation. Too many people asking why little or no money has been spent to try to find Madeleine and nothing in place should the worst happen and her remains be found. Poor way to run any company. Directors of companies can be "struck off" and prohibited from running companies if they are found to be really bad at it.!

The fund is a farce. They wont find Maddy using money. She is gone and no amount of spending will change that. The sooner they donate the money to children's charities or those that have been abducted the better.

Of course they should have to fill out a form or make proposals for use of the funds - it was not given to fund them staying off work and living in Portugal in a bubble. It is better (esp for the twins) that they come home and deal with the grief of losing a child and let the other kids get back to a normal life.

People donated money fast and furious to help find an abducted girl...

All the money has done so far is fund a global T-shirt business and an extended holiday.

I think it is a careful piece of media management to put the idea into peoples minds that the McCanns don't have easy access to the money as there has been a lot of speculation lately as to what they are doing with the money and why they set up a limited company etc.

I have wondered the same thing. What can they do now that they couldn't do months ago? Much of the trail will have gone cold by now. If they wanted the money to help them find Madeleine they should have used it as soon as it came in - and not just on posters.

Because summer's now over in Portugal. The holiday is finished. What foresight the McCanns showed at the start when they said they expected to remain in Portugal until the end of the summer!

Why wait four months to appeal to the abductor?

I would have used the money from day one to aid the search for my daughter. That's what the money was donated for.

EDIT - Appeal to the abductor. Gerry's latest appeal in his blog and their earlier appeal/consequent interviews show no comparison. Leads me to believe that the latest appeal, which showed desperation, despare and love for his cherished daughter was actually written by someone else.
