Answer: No I don't see that...Republicans Do seem to point out how viciously the Dems attack one of theirs for a possible sexual impropriety...Yet defend and have a completely opposite standard for one of their own.
Is democrat synonymous with hypocrite...

If Craig is living two lives, then he should be exposed for his hypocrisy. I am not a Republican or Democrat. I vote for the person that stands for what I believe. I believe that everyone has rights, but I do not believe that one group should have more rights than another. I don't think it is right to force anyone to accept something they believe is wrong. I believe the Bible when it says marriage is between a man and a woman.
I think we have hypocrisy in both Democrats and Republicans. I also know that the media fuels alot of the problems.
I also think that you should not judge every Republican in the same way that you feel about Larry Craig. There are some good guys on both sides.

If I understand the question, you seem to feel the act is not wrong, only being hypocritical about it is wrong. So that means the Democrats are right because they definitely are not hypocrites. They do this stuff in the open, and then get mad when caught and questioned.
Quite frankly, the real hypocrisy is from people like you, the liberal base of the democratic party, and the main stream media for condemning Republicans for certain actions while refusing to even question Democrats for the same actions.

The first thing is he was not found guilty of being gay, in fact he did what most of us would do, pleaded to a lesser charge to make it go away. He was not found in a homesexual act, and has denied he is a homosexual, so your premise, is basically flawed.
However if he was gay, then yeah he might be hyprocritical, but I know homesexuals who do not believe in serving in the military, I also know several that agree that legal marriage is between a man and a woman and therefore they want an alternative arrangement and do not want the right to marry.
So judging all gays as having the same oponion is twisted, just like thinking republicans have a monopoly on hypocrisy. Democrats flip flop like hotcakes at IHOP.

hypocrisy is in the rep and dem camp. and judging all rep's by the actions of a few is bigotry, just like someone judging all dem's by the actions of a few.
most rep's i know could care less about craig being gay they are more upset he's dishonest and it's ironic that the dem's have no problem with it either until it can become an issue to use against a rep in a coming election year. and that goes both ways, the rep's do it too. the thing is rep's and dem's alike are fallible human beings and we shouldn't expect anything less from them than we do ourselves. politicians, civilians etc. all lie, cheat and steal...it's human nature but what gets me is that when it's brought to light somehow we are all 'shocked'. and what i find abhorrant is the division some ppl, including yourself is trying to make wider by these silly situations, there are more important things to get upset about than this idiot trying to score in a bathroom and while you are distracted and focused on this and thus trying to distract others with this congress is passing laws and enacting legislation that you should be not only paying attention to but doing something about. i don't know about you but a whole lot of ppl in this world preach one way and live another it's not just a rep thing. ask yourself why we never hear about this like this happening with dem's or other criminal acts are played down, it's because the media is typically democrat or liberal, i'm not saying that's bad just the truth so human nature is they are going to play down their bad antics and they are going to play up their enemies...the rep's actions..the bottom line is why these games are being played the division between normal, moderate dem's and rep's is getting wider and they are getting more ignored while the extremists on both sides love this kind of scandel as it distracts the public from the real issues. so you better wake up and instead of pointing fingers of blame and trying to get points for your side look at whats happening as a result. so the reality is craig is a lying, cheating jerk who can't admit he's gay that doesn't mean all republicans are like that, just like when clinton lied and cheated didn't mean all democrats were like that.

Disagree. 99.999% of republicans DO NOT approve of Larry Craig's actions. 99.999% of republican's "get it".
Dont put the blame of the stupid behavior of one individual on the entire party.
I would say that, on many issues, Republican leadership does not get it. They are out of touch with their base. Their base wants small government, immigration enforcement, and low taxes among other things....
But when the entire party both in leadership and the average Joe are calling for him to resign, crawl under a rock, and go away... how does that make us hypocrites?
You might want to look that word up... because we are the opposite.
And while you are at it, look at the hypocrisies in the Democratic party.... such as all your super rich politicians telling everyone to "give up their SUV" while they fly around on private jets and live in a house 10 times the size of your average "Rich Republican".... but it is OK, because they buy Carbon Credits.... but you know what... Carbon Credits are a TAX that the average American can't afford.... You wont have ANY problem finding a hypocrite in the Democrtic party.

Who was it that called for a Senate Ethics investigation, who is it that has asked Sen Craig to resign, who was it that called for a Senate Ethics investigation of of Tom Foley, who by the way never had relationships with any of the young pages all he did was to send some sexually related emails.
The WHO in these cases is the Republican Party, I for one applaud Senator Craig to vote for what is right rather than for what could be his own personal beliefs.
Do you consider it hypocritical to vote for what is RIGHT?
To vote for something that benefits you and against what is right is then being a hypocrit.

Truth? None there. Despicable actions? Any facts in this tirade? Wont even try will you. There never needs to be proof in these political rants. Just say Bad Bad Bad. Next witch hunt please.
I could pick through the entire statement and pick out dozens of inaccuracies to outright lies. Typical.

I think that you're the one who doesn't get it. Unlike Democrats who cheer for sexually abusive criminals like Gerry Studds and Bill Clinton, the Republicans disowned Craig and are calling for him to be investigated. We don't make excuses for our failed members the way that you do. For example, when are you people going to do something about William Jefferson instead of allowing him to remain in office, representing the interests of the people who bribed him?

republicans are far superior to democrats when it comes to morality and ethics. they always purge their ranks of miscreants like craig when they are 'exposed'. democrats promote theirs to higher office ala bj clinton, so get down off your horse and wake up. when a republican is shown to be a hypocrite it only hurts that person and his family...when a democrat is shown to be a hypocrite, it hurts the entire country and sometimes, like the global warming scam, it can affect an entire planet.
