Fancy goldfish are quite prone to constipation and this can cause problems with their swim bladder which in turn causes swimming problems like you are seeing. Try allowing the fish to do without food for aday and then try feeding it softened hulled peas. Then give it another day.
If that doesn't seem to help his swimming problems you may be dealing with a more serious swim bladder infection. If that is the case you will need to treat with medicated food for bacterial infections as well as a good antibiotic. I would recommend Furanase, Furan -2 or in a pinch Maracyn TC. Treatment can take a week or more and you should plan on treating the tank for at least 10 days.
If I can help further feel free to email me.

Hi Tasty, without further information it's impossible to give you a definite response-do you mean they are completely parallel with the surface of the water or just listing? have you altered/removed/added anything to or about your tank lately? A couple of simple explanations if they are listing slightly could be change in lighting as Goldfish align themselves to the light source or alternatively will lean against oncoming currents from filters. You can check these two by looking if they are leaning just one way all the time-if they are leaning to both their left & right then there is probably nothing wrong & as they are both affected this is probably what is going on-you may need to replace one of your lights or turn down/alter the direction of your filter outlet.
If they are both leaning just one way or flat on the surface then the problem is be more serious like poor aeration or even swim bladder related. Try feeding shelled, cooked, diced peas & also keep a close eye on your water parameters, a healthy tank should show zero ammonia & nitrite [NO2]. In addition make sure you have your tank is well aerated with a good bubble stone-you need to have some surface agitation for healthy oxygen transfer.

Your fish has a swimbladder problem, which is usually caused by the gut swelling and putting pressure on the swim bladder, otherwise it is an internal salt imbalance.Goldfish do get this problem quite often but is usually very easy treat. If you only feed floating dry food try some sinking pellets or frozen foods for a few weeks, if this does not work there is a product made by Interpet that when used with salt will treat the problem. hope this helps

hi Tasty, without added techniques it particularly is impossible to supply you a distinctive reaction-do you recommend they're thoroughly parallel with the exterior of the water or merely itemizing? have you ever altered/bumped off/added something to or approximately your tank recently? a pair of undemanding reasons in the event that they're itemizing somewhat would desire to be exchange in lights as Goldfish align themselves to the gentle source or on the different hand will lean against oncoming currents from filters. you may verify those 2 by utilising finding in the event that they're leaning merely one way forever-in the event that they're leaning to the two their left & ideal then there is probable not something incorrect & as they're the two affected that's probable what is going on-you would be able to could replace considered one of your lights or turn down/alter the direction of your clear out outlet. in the event that they're the two leaning merely one way or flat on the exterior then the undertaking is be greater severe like undesirable aeration or maybe swim bladder proper. try feeding shelled, cooked, diced peas & additionally shop a specified eye on your water parameters, a wholesome tank could show 0 ammonia & nitrite [91b760eb7abfcbe057922d4e8b94c191b760eb7abfcbe057922d4e8b94c191b760eb7abfcbe057922d4e8b94c1]. besides be sure you have your tank is definitely aerated with a competent bubble stone-you will have some floor agitation for wholesome oxygen flow.

well if they are doing it suddenly, and recently, that is not a good sign.
fish have what is called a "swim bladder" a pocket of air inside them that allows them to become equally balanced in the water around them, allowing them to "float" effortless. if this is not functioning properly, a fish will swim in such ways to try and correct it. this could be the situation in your case. if both fish are doing it, maybe they are both ill.
i know little about fish breeding, but if this is something they do only when next to eachother, and maybe only near the ground, then maybe they are playing the fertilizer game lol.
