You dont have to read this, but if you do, then answer this.
Isn't this the sincerest form of sorrow a parent can show at the lost of a child. ?

Now God wanted a football match
And to play it up in heaven
But first he needed players
And select his first eleven.

Georgie Best, big Brian Labone
The legend Dixie Dean
Alan Ball and Bobby Moore
All made it in the team.

He needed one more player
Someone who would be quick
From up above he looked down
And saw Rhys there in his kit.

So Rhys was taken up above
God took him by the hand
To play the game he loved so much
Where sponsorship is banned.

There is no cheating either as
God is the referee
There are no mega wages
And the transfers they are free.

The games are live on telly
You don't have to subscribe
The players all stay on their feet
Cos no one takes a dive.

So Rhys plays now so happily
To the angels in the crowd
And every time he hits the net
They roar his name so loud.

Have fun my little blue boy
You're safe and in God's care
Till it's time for me to get my boots
And join with you up there.

What a beautiful poem, had me in tears. I believe that poem is so very true, Rhys is playing with the angels now. God bless him. My heart goes out to his family and friends, such a cruel, cruel world. In answer to your question, yes it is.

So very moving. What a wonderful tribute to
Rhys, from a very special Dad.
Perhaps when this is read by the community
where the family live, it will break down that wall of silence, and the truth will come out!

Definitely the most moving words I have read for some time.

How does a parent get over losing a child? Must be one of the most difficult things to deal with ever.

God bless you Rhys. Our thoughts are with your parents.

It made me cry, but then again I cry every time I see or hear his poor parents on tv. His father shows such strength being able to write such a moving tribute.. I lost my son in March in an accident and the pain is teriible but God alone knows how I would feel if he had been murdered. I hope the evil so and so who did this rots in hell. My thoughts and prayers are with them in their suffering.

That must have been the hardest thing he ever had to write. A beautiful and fitting poem, it takes a lot to bring tears to my eyes but that did it.

Curly Sue- So sorry about your son xx

May God keep him safe and give his parents the strength to go on. A family torn apart through an unjust crime that should never have happened.
