I have a Samsung DVD drive that won't read DVDs but reads either audio cds or data cds. what happen sto be the problem and what is the remedy ?

Install the software below and either the Windows Media Player or the SUPER itself can play your dvds.
Note that WMP (under Windows Xp) can use the codec you installed on it.

You need DVD software on the computer.
If you added the DVD drive, a software CD probably came with it.

Thats a power calibration error
Service your DVD drive or Replace it if you have warranty
