The man loves to be the center of attention. Although he has gone through a great deal of his money, I believe that he is performing because of his love of the "one to one" with a live audience, not because of the money.

He had some trouble a few years ago. He's a shop-a-holic to the nth degree.
I watched a interview with him on the biography channel and he is doing the Vegas thing "to be different" he claims. Sharon Osborne (Ozzy's wife) says that when Elton plays for charity he never charges a single dollar, so if you are considering charity events too, he's not making a cent.

Sir Elton John will never be broke. Hes a true artist that loves preforming. There are other bands that are also this way. Mostly the older groups or individuals. Most younger bands are in it for the money and or fame.
Elton is far to marketable to ever be broke.

This man will *never* run out of money!!! He loves to entertain people...this is why he still tours...he doesn't have to for the money, he wants to for the enjoyment of it. That is the sign of a true musician! He donates a LOT of his money to charity.
