this is just scary...banning baggy pants? what's next? banning heavy makeup? heels on men? if this goes through, we are in trouble! who agrees? or do you want to see the ban passed and why? why do you care?

A ban is a little extreme, but I have to say that I'm in favor of it. I really don't want to see pants that are hanging around some guys knees, exposing his boxers. Not my thing. It looks horrible. I just don't know how they plan on enforcing it. What seems excessively saggy/baggy to someone might not be too bad to someone else. I think that's where they will find the most problems.

Someone is actually creating the fashion police...haha! That strikes me as funny. But it's retarded that they are just targeting saggy pants. They should go after women in too short skirts and too tights shorts (as much as I don't want to see underwear, I don't want to see camel toe either). And women that need a good bra but are in denial. And obese people that wear too small clothes (I don't want to see their belly hanging out from under their shirt).

Overall, while saggy pants look like hell, there are more important things for lawmakers and politicians need to focus on.

I thought it was a ban of saggy pants and not baggy. Anyways, I personally I don't like the look and style of underwear hanging out too much, so it would be good to not see it anymore. Why wear pants that are just gonna fall off? However, a ban would be violating their freedom of expression. Despite that I'm still leaning towards the ban, but not much. I'd say dress up like you are worth something or don't dress up at all.

so instead of laughing I'm going to actually give an answer. I think the ban is a good thing. I'm in agreement with several people here that I'm sick of seeing it. It looks stupid, shows no self-respect AND if someone is walking around without their pants on they would be cited for indecent exposure and baggy pants provides just as much exposure. Maybe instead of banning them they should have said they would give out citations. They would have made a lot of money. And since you've mentioned it....I hope they ban heavy makeup too...I'm tired of seeing clown faced women that don't know how to put on makeup...lol....and real clowns.

The lawmakers of Atlanta and comparable places have of course not something extra pressing or compelling to do with their time. How mind-blowing it would be for the human beings of Atlanta to stay in a single of those paradise, that their enormously paid elected officers have so little to occupy their minds. of direction, if it extremely is unquestionably the case, why are they paid lots interior the 1st place? the human beings of Atlanta ought to save a brilliant form of money with the aid of reducing the salaries and reward of such officers.

I've got to agree with the questioner here. I find saggy pants to be distasteful and personally offensive. However, I also find that they don't materially affect me or others in any way. It is the job of my grandma to tell me how to dress properly, not the gov't. I have had enough of the gov't legislating morals.

I am sorry but i do agree with the ban because I am sick and tired of seeing young mens underwear walking down the street . What ever happened to self respect ? I think you have to draw the line somewhere and yes it should be passed .

I do think it is a good ban if whomever's pants crotch area is down to their knees.

I once saw a man with size pants that were probably 5 sizes to big and the top trim was down to his crotch n he had to hold his pants up with one hand and carry his groceries in the other.

Stupid? Yes.
