Well, if you do go by the answers on this site, you will see that people are telling you that you are both confused and wrong. Comments reminding you that your question is a joke and that the USA does not espouse your socialist ideals should be sending you a message simple enough for even you to understand.
American citizens of all political persuasions accept that there is separation of Church and state. Health care and immigration are just two examples of why we must avoid the legalized slavery that socialism brings.
We already have medicare and medicaid for the needy. If you want to become a US citizen, do so legally or you will be sent home, after you are fined.

Generalizing - you are taking the act of some and saying that "many Christians in the US". That is not a correct nor fair statement. There are many, many, many good Christians who give of their time and money to help others, to be an upstanding citizen, so you question is nothing but an assumption.
It would be like me asking a question on YA - why do most stupid people ask questions about money and religion?

I agree with you. We christians are always the first to point fingers and give a you're going to hell warning-but we also never want to admit we are usually the first the fall and sin. The Bible says money is the root of all evil-yet we have to kill ourselves for the ipod's, the xbox 360's the 50 thousand dollar cars and the big homes. We are never satisfied are we? The bible also says even the very devout will be deceived. We forget the bible telling us to take care of the mote in our own eye first before we point fingers. We forget to look at his ministry-he didn't point fingers-he loved and helped. We forget his example. He bunked with the worst people in the bible-that was his ministry-he was here to love the unloved. I am a christian. It is way to easy to see a kid with droopy pants and a mohawk haircut and point fingers. You are so right. We need to really look at the what being a follower of Christ really means.

I think it is a philosophical dispute you may be experiencing with Christian Conservativism.
I think that in the US we have become very self-focused and self-centered and it impacts our world view.
I may be a poor single mom, but I don't think that politics should be designed just to pay my bills (that's kind of my problem and hopefully, I'll do the job right).

I do not worship money, and I have no problem giving it to those who need it, or spending it on worthwhile projects that do not benefit me. I DO have a big problem with having money taken from me and spent on people who know how to scam the system, or are part of corrupt and wasteful projects like "The Big Dig". You see, I can't worship money because I haven't enough of it to raise a Temple. I barely get by paying my mortgage, making what charitable donations I do, supporting myself otherwise and trying to save for retirement (I am counting on SS going belly up and would much rather rely on myself than the Government).

"their only god is the almighty Dollar?"
And your point is??????
I thought you libs were all about religious freedom?
Seriously, if I had a choice of (a) Jesus, Buddha, Moses, take your pick, coming back to life and my getting to go to dinner with him, or (b) winning the Megamillions tomorrow night, I'd take (b).
I mean really, I'd be like, hold the manna, I'm getting the boiled lobster.

They don't see it that way. Their Pastor says being a money grubber and being a phony christian are completely compatible.

My money belongs to me and not you. That doesn't mean I worship it, it means you want to steal it from me through socialism, which is no more than institutionalized theivery.
Since when is money a "dog in the manger"? Just because I'm not spending it right now doesn't mean I don't need it. Does that mean all my excess food is to be turned over to the government as well? Lenin signed that very order in 1918, on punishment of death.
