Well, I have chronic sinusitis and bronchiatasis. I am not sure whether I am allergic to wood or the chemicals such as resin used in some of the stuff. But after learning for about a month, I am having sinus infection now. So it made me wonder as to whether making all these can caused allergies........If you have allergies, how do you control it when you are making the dollhouse stuffs? Are there any ways for me to continue doing and also to lessen the allergies?

Don't know if this will be the answer for you, but I have made several dollhouses and found that the ones made from MDF are MUCH better than the plywood ones. I made a plywood one, which had to be punched and sanded, and I had terrible scratchy throat from it....hated that dollhouse.

Also I notice when I use wood stain I get headaches from the smell.

Not sure if this helps, but thought I'd mention.

Good luck!

I guess it would depend a lot on what type of materials you wanted to make the dollhouse and it's furnishings with, and what exactly you're allergic to.

I don't think there are many people who are allergic to wood or wood glue, for example, or to most papers and fabrics, and you could certainly make a lot just with those things.

I suggest you put more info in this question or ask another one with more info... and say what you want to make (size, type, etc.), which materials you might be concerned about, and what you're allergic to (if you have "chemical sensitivies" or allergies to almost everything, you should say that too and suggest some things you *don't* react to).
