no. Unless there is some serious illness inherited which one of its symptoms is laziness.

What we think as laziness, it is just low psychological energy. It is caused by depression, sadness, anxiety, worries.. repression..

Now it is possible that one of the causes of depression is genetic preparedness, but the big maker of it is life. I mean the way of upbringing. So if one of your parents was depressed, it might pass into you only because they raise you up. even if they were not your real parents.

try to think more positively about laziness, it is not a fault, it is closer to the truth to say that it is just a symptom for some pain inside

I think a lot has to do with the surroundings and what one is expected to do. I have a son that is lazy but I am guilty of doing things for him so he doesnt have to. His personality is really carefree so he doesnt care about things which could contribute to this behavior as well.

Perhaps motabolism can be included in Nature rather than Nurture....... but laziness seems to be learned from spending heaps of time watching other people do nothing!

I don't think it is inherited, but it is taught by example..Children only know what they are taught or surrounded by,so parents influence that as well..=)
