Today actually. I'm gay, right, that's important. Only, there's only four people at work who know, only one that I was working with today and she was the senior (senior care assistant).
We got talking about going out drinking and I've NEVER been into that but I do fancy going down the local gay bar to meet some people and I said that I was thinking of going out.
The team leader looked at me ... "She's dyeing her hair, smoking, thinking of going out drinking .... she'll be after a man next."
"What would I want with a man? I don't want a man!" (that's been my retort to that for years but I've only been out a month)
I looked across at the senior who couldn't believe what I'd said, she gaped and then collapsed in laughter which got me started.
She's heard me say it many times before, but it had a different meaning for her this time.

Oh YES and have also broken up an entire meeting room.
Definate ice breaker -- the words "porn-star" I guarantee everyone will laugh (even if you blush & feel like a fool)

You must work with turds. My biggest and hardest laughs are at work. People are so fun sometimes.

yes, and i tried to hold it in but it didn't work. the guest i was checking in looked at me crazy. my manager made me laugh, it was his fault!
i worked at The Marriott as a front desk clerk.
