It would be a four month time period when me and two other friends went to Australia.
We landed in Sydney each with about 5 grand in the bank we had been saving for nearly a year.
We were just out of our teens.
We bought an old van and a few surfboards and just travelled up the coast getting drunk, surfing, meeting loads of people, sky diving, scuba diving, bungee jumping.
Watching the sunset with a spliff in our mouth and a warm beer, steak cooking on the BBQ, listening to the crickets and the waves rolling in, faces burning.
We had this for four months!!!
Man, we were so free. I would do anything to be back there in that moment right now!!!

As an Empty-Nesting Single Retiree (who was a Long Term Single Parent of TWO Disabled Children, now living as independent adults) ... I can definitely state that after a couple of decades of being alone and not having anyone else around me (what man will want to date a woman with Careers (including Military) and who is raising TWO Disabled Children on HER OWN) that I am SO HAPPY That I've been able to finally meet someone! (He is just so gentle, respectful, caring and loving ... everything that my ex-spouse was NOT (horror of a short disaster of a marriage to an abusive, violent sociopath)).

Having my kids handed to me after giving birth.... apart from that it would be my earliest memory that I can remember - I was 3 and I was on my scooter at nursery - happy days..
