A persons sexuality should be of no importance to anyone else at all.

I know it's not bad ... nor is it unntatural or weird. There are loads of gay women out there so why is everybody being so hushed up about it?Apparently it's "disgusting". I know that's what my mum's opinion was when I came out as bisexual. That's half lesbian so half of me must be horrible if being a lesbian is bad. And why the hell do some women think that lesbians automatically have a crush on them? I know that hardly any women are like that but come on ... grow up! They are so willing to be friends with the gay guy but they shun the lesbian??? It's only sexuality ... and the only person it should effect is the person themselves ...

People are small minded and we need to face that. As long as there are some decent people then it should be okay ...

And apologies for the rant ...

You mean she's come out and people are giving her a hard time about it? It happens ... it happened to a very good friend of mine.

No, it's not bad to be a lesbian. What she needs to do is join a support group, is there a Gay support group in your town? That would be a good place to start.

I don't think it's bad because I've just come out as a lesbian - wow, I'm really getting to like saying that.

I haven't told that many people yet but have had a positive reaction from all those I have told.

My family? I'm NEVER telling them, not unless I meet someone and can't deny them.

Basically, it's just that I don't find men sexually attractive.

There is nothing wrong with being lesbian gay bi or trans... ppl are entitled to their own opinion. It is up to you and her to accept that. Most of the time it is very hurtful but that should only make you stronger and be on that ball more. I am in a struggle with that but am slowly learning that it is me and my wife who count and no one else. we are who we are.

Listen to Shirley Bassey's song I am what I am... should give you or her some inspiration.

NO....its great being a lesbian, if your friend is having a hard time after coming out then these people obviously wern't real friends to begin with, her real friends will stick by her no matter what...like you are doing. As long as she is happy with her sexuality then it really doesnt matter what other people think....its their problem not hers!

It's not bad.I believe gays and lesbians may have a tendency to be gays and lesbians and accept their nature because they can't fight against it. So, it's natural to be gay or lesbian and those who are against gays and lesbians don't differ much to them who don't care about destroying the environment. Being a gay or a lesbian is not always your choice

Being a lesbian's great... you should congratulate her!

Whoever says it's bad isn't worth knowing anyway so she's lucky she found out their true nature now.

No it most definately is not bad. I'm loving it.
The only thing I think is bad is not liking someone who is trying to be honest about who they are and what makes them happy.

i am straight, live with my partner and 2 boys and think people should be allowed to love anyone they like.
if they have friends that dont agree with their sexuality they should find new friends.
peoples views on things like this have been passed down from bible stories and in the bible there was a town called sodom, and we all know what they got up to there.

stick your bits (genitals) in whoever you want
