Men can be called an "indecent dresser" if they wear too tight and short shorts. But they'll never be referred to as a slut or whore....thats the sad thing about gender today because i know lots of men who are hussys =[

I think that "indecent dressing" is not gender biased. I think it's just as tacky when a female is showing her underwear as what it is when a man is showing his underwear. (For that matter, I don't like going into a store, where employees should be appropriately dressed and they're still wearing the overly baggy or overly tight clothes. I don't care if it's Goodwill, Wal-Mart, Macy's, offices, gas stattions, an office etc. It's just unprofessional.) There's a reason why it's call UNDERWEAR.

As I said, I also don't like clothes that are too tight, too short or too revealing on men or women. It's just no appropriate.

I agree with whomever said that there are no degrading terms for men who don't dress decently, but there are for women. It's a double standard, unfortunately. Yet, with some of the clothes available to young women (i.e., the microscopic skirts at stores like Abercrombie and Hollister, low cut shirts, etc.) it's almost encouraged by society and "fashion". Females, it seems, are more judged and accepted or dejected by what they do and don't wear. At lest that was the case when I was in high school, in the early 90s. (Which made it tough for the tall fat girl, me, who could pretty much only fit into guys' jeans and Tshirts and sweatshirts. Women's clothing companies hadn't wised up about bigger women under the age of 25 then.)

I hope things change in about ten to twelve years when my daughter (who is technically due to arrive anytime) gets older. However, if they haven't seemed to change much in the past 15 years from when I was 15, I'm not holding my breath (Especially since I've seen some of the clothes that little girls are wearing now. I might have to learn to sew.)
