Taking Yasmin. Last pill taken on Sunday. Period is here now and I want it to go away. Can I start taking the new set of pills now? Will it lengthen my period? Hoping not.

Yes, you would start the new pack now. If you are just starting out on the Yasmin it will take the body a few months to adjust to being on the medication.
I would recommend checking with your doctor as well to see what they say.

If you take a combined pill you can skip your period all together! I did it for years. Very convenient for work, deployments and holidays etc. I have identical twin boys now so nothing wrong with me!

I know you can skip a period by starting with your net set, but it is very dangerous to try and rearange you 'stop'week... just sit it out!
