I am trying to grow hot peppers for next summer, I will grow them on my windowsill for the window. (inside) When they grow, I will plan them in my garden. I am really cheap, and want to know whats the best containers to put them in. Any ideas? Regards-Bob.

You can make starter pots from newspaper. When you are ready to plant, just plant your seedlings with the newspaper starter pot, they break down in the soil real quick. Here is the article that tells you how to fold the pots: http://www.geocities.com/newspaperpots/

Use any of the myriad of plastic containers that pass through your home. We use the bottoms of milk jugs that we cut in 1/2. Plant in the four corners of a gallon jug and it makes them easy to remove for transplanting. Be sure to poke some holes in the bottoms for drainage.

You can also cut strips from the left over tops and use them to identify the plants.

use cardboard egg cartons, cut the tops off, sit the bottom on a cookie sheet, add dirt, to carton plant seed,s keep a small amount of water in cookie sheet, let egg carton absorb what it needs.
