i have a question when do you start to ovulate is it 14 days conting from the day you start your last period or 14 days form the day you end your last period and how many days do you ovulate also is it posible to have sex 3 days befor you ovulate and still be pregnant

By Ovulation calculator, you fertility days are 12 days from the day you start the period till 17th day. If you had intercourse 3 day's before your ovulation without protection, the risk is very high because Sperm could be active for 3 day's in Vagina.

Normal ovulation for a 4wk cycle is 10-14 days after the FIRST day of your last period. You can start having sex a couple of days before, during and after ovulation.
To find out exactly when you are ovulating there a couple of ways;
some women get a slight, mild, period like cramping in the right or left side of your pelvis area when an egg is released. You can check your cervical mucus and if it has an egg white look about it then you are probably ovulating;
if you chart your temperature every morning before you get out of bed, you will notice a small spike in temperature on ovulation days. (this is easiest to tell over a 3-4mth chart)
But the easiest way to tell is to buy a ovulation predictor kit (multipack) and start taking one every morning from day 10 till you get a positive result and then you know that you have a better chance of conceiving if you start 'trying' then.

Overall though, if you want to take the 'clinical' bit out of TTC, then have sex everyday for 5-6 days surrounding that 14 day middle bit and hopefully in a few months you will be pregnant. Make sure hubby abstains from anything for 2-3 days before trying to make sure his swimmers are in the best condition!

Just a general rule of thumb is 14 days before the end of your cycle but there is a great web site for tracking your ovulation days - and yes its possible to get pregnant 3 days before you ovulate ( because you may only think you ovulated you may miscalculating you ovulation day)

On average it is 14 days including your priod so about a week after. Yes it is possible to concieve if you have sex 3 days before ovulation as sperm can live for about 3-4 days inside a woman.

I don't now why u want learn this, but what i now is ovulation starts immediately after the last day Ur period stoped, this will continue for 8 days, within this days when u ever meet,pregnancy.how ever after the eight days the chances are reduced,but be care full.
