I have the Floormate. Wonderful machine! I use it on tiled and wooden floors, although on the wood I am careful to get the water back up quickly! Have to admit that once a month I get down on my knees and do the floors really well though! You know what I mean - right into the corners etc and doing the skirting boards too.

I also purchased the hoover floor mate. I loved it when we had ceramic tile, I believe it works best on ceramic though. I also previously had hardwood floors that were older and it worked well.

I have since moved and have linoleum and do not believe it works well on these. I also have Bruce hardwood floors that were finished and you can not put water on those, so it doesn't work well for me anymore. It does a nice job overall, but you will still want to do an occasional scrubbing.

Good luck!

I will never buy another Bissell product.

Several years ago I bought a small carpet cleaner, and it made more of a mess than it cleaned. I only used it a few weeks and finally threw it in the garbage.

Bissell is cheap crap that is way overpriced. Their products belong in a dollar store.
