i am a new photography afficionado and I was hoping I could get the most advise from the experts and or other afficionados. i'd love to hear your posts!

You might want to check out some of the links and info I have on the Photography page at my site. It would be most helpful for non-scenic photography, but some of the links would get you going in some good directions anyway:

You might also say what type of photography you're interested in and what type of camera you're using or whether you're focusing on darkroom techniques, etc.

Google is your friend. Just pick a technique, like "photgraphing insects" and type it into a search engine.
