I'm very surprised and disappointed by the new look. There was no need for the 'VANCOUVER' across the chest which makes the whole design look busy and disjointed. In fact, the entire design looks like a patchwork of multiple ideas that were pushed in a 'design by commitee' environment.
By the way, the whale on the sweater has nothing to do with any migratory routes, it's a take on the former ownership group's name, Orca Bay Sports & Entertainment.

I like them but the Vancouver on the jersey is pushing it a little too much. Why do you need it? If you don’t know where that hockey team is located then you don't deserve to watch hockey or call yourself a fan. I like the green and blue colours. I like the arm patch the original stick. The orca is not bad on it either. Overall I give the jersey a 9/10.

I don't mind it, the lettering has a bit of a throwback look. Looks good. However, I'm from nowhere near Vancouver, so I'm not as familiar with what traditions the locals enjoy there. It's kinda like the change to that stupid fisherman logo with the Islanders in the 90s; as an Islanders fan, I wanted that fisherman to be blown up to pieces, but some others didn't have a problem with it.
You mean you don't want the V's back? [ducks from angry Canucks fans]

It looks nice and i like the explanation they have for all the features they put into the jersey.
And I agree with the first person to answer... jerseys don't win Cups, the players do.
Btw it isn't a shark it is a whale. Many a whale travel by Vancouver on their way north to the colder waters of the Bering Strait and Arctic Circle. Oh and a canuck was a derogatory term at one point for a Canadian.

it's nice that they tried to mix the early 70s style jerseys with their whale logo from the 90s, but i don't like it that much. i think the white version is alot nicer of the two. they coulda done without the word vancouver on it. it seems out of place.
i actually liked those old jerseys with the hockey stick logo that they have on the shoulders now. that's the one i usually pick on the ea sports game. it woulda been better to bring those back. they could put the whale logo on the shoulders and ditch the vancouver lettering.

I don't mind them; but I like the hockey-stick-in-rink logo much more and think that it would look a lot better than the orca logo. It would have been a simpler and cleaner look.
The orca is basically a corporate logo for orca bay, as zapcity has said, which is why it's fairly unpopular.

I like it. It does lose points for the Vancouver, but overall it's nice. the colors work, and the whale looks much better.
However, I liked their black and white skate much better... the yellow ones were awful though. And the Vs?... forget it.
Basically, this is the second best uniform they've had.
