will a fish be ok if it has been in an aquarium that food colouring was added to....it was for about 18 hours.

we had a small aquarium set up and my son put food colouring in the water ..(thinking it would be cool)..Will the fish be ok? It is a beta fish. Time all total was about 18 hours ..if that.

yes he will be fine
Just change 50% of the water, and do partial waterchanges of 25% every 3 days until your water is clear again

Yeah, just make a 30% water change, and keep doing that over a few hours until you have clear water.And hide the food colouring lol.

i hope you have changed the water. the fish should be fine.
