If I remember right, I was about 13. I had some fuzz on my face and was happy with that, but my mother told me to shave it off. At the time it seemed like a grown-up sort of thing to do, and for a teenager, that can only be good!
I'm really sick of shaving now, though. Particularly when I get an in-growing hair (it looks just like a spot, but if you pick it, it really hurts and grows steadily bigger). They take ages to heal and I'm forever slicing the head of the bump off when I shave.

I think I was 14 when I started growing a little mustache hair but I'm 27 and still don't grow anything close to a full beard. I shave my "goatee" about once a week. I will probably never be able to grow a full beard.

I was 17 when I first shaved. But everyone is different. Remember that once you start you will have to do it for the rest of your life - probably everyday.

If you don't like the look, shave it off. No big deal.
