Why would you want miserably SLOW graphics on the SLOW PCI bus? 4X/8X AGP is faster than PCI. Use the AGP slot. AGP cards are cheaper and faster than PCI cards.

Sure, the PCI card will fit even if the other slots are occupied.

Well if you have an AGP slot why not get an AGP video card? They are much better, have a better slection of cards, just as cheap & would leave you an extra PCI slot for down the road. The only reason they even make PCI video cards is for motherboards that dont have an AGP or PCI-E slot. They do make them though as I have 2 NVIDIA MX4000 for PCI but the selection of cards is slim & they are all low end cards. I think ATI makes a 9250.

Most modern graphics cards are either AGP or PCI Express. If your motherboard has an AGP slot, it most likely doesn't have a PCI Express slot as well, just other regular PCI slots for modems soundcards etc. If you haven't purchased a new graphics card yet make sure it says PCI, NOT PCI Express ( or PCIe) or it won't work.

I presume you mean PCI and not PCIx. If you mean PCI then yes it will work. You must have the PCI video adapter in the PCI slot closest to the AGP slot or closest to the CPU (In the event you do not have an AGP slot).
