Im on academic suspension and plan to appeal it. If I get accepted back would I be in good standing or probation. I don't plan to go back but want to be able to transfer to a 2 year college. The 2 year college will only accept me if im in good standing.

It depends upon the rules of your school, but if you were accepted back in your current state, my guess is that you would be back on probation. Usually if you fail to meet the minimum standards once, you are on probation. If it happens more than once, you are suspended. If they reverse the suspension, your condition would be the same as it was when you were on probation.

If it turns out you are on probation, register at the 2 yr school non-degree. If you do well, you will be in good standing with them and most likely will be admitted to their program.

As a non-degree (non-matric) you have to pay the tuition, so it may only be possible for you to do one or two courses, but you will still be making progress.

Students get on probation and dismissed all the time- if they get their act together, academics do not have to be over. Registering non-degree will allow you to continue college while making a better show in case you are not admitted to the program now. Good luck!
