Why is it that you drop everything you are doing sometimes and help someone out, do anything you can for them, try to be their support and friend, offer anything they need and an ear anytime they need it, and once their problem is over, they forget you ever meant so much in helping them through? Then they can not be there for you when you need them. I seem to never let one person do this to me more than once (not licking the hand that hit me), but why is it that it seems this happens to me over and over through the years by someone who means so much to me?

When you are there for people and help them and support them, don't expect anything in return. Expecations cause hard feelings. Do what you want to do out of the goodness of your heart, just because you want to and that's the way you are built. Don't expect anything back and when you do get something back be humble and appreciative; but keep giving if that's what you want to do. Sometimes, too, you do receive something back later on down the road; or maybe it's just the feeling of peace and happiness inside you.

You will be better off if you do things for others not expecting anything in return.

That way you will get back everything you need and more. For more good info on how to do life, read the Holy Bible it is a great handbook for life. I suggest a New Living translation which is written in plain modern English.

Oh, Dear.. It's life and sometimes it sucks. I use to have this girl friend that I was the first person to run when she needed help, I even the only person celebrating her birthday with her. But when I need help to copy some papers she refused with too many excuses while I know she could do it easily.

I ditched her.
