No, he won't. And people shouldn't blame the media for it. They should blame the economic ignorance of almost the entire country. Among the selfish, people see the government programs which benefit them a lot, at a small cost to the rest of the country. They don't want those to disappear, even if it means getting rid of hundreds of other programs that don't benefit them, and cost them more than what they gain from theif favorite program.
Among the generous-spirited types, they feel bad for the poor, and think that the only solution is a series of coercive programs that, unfortunately, often keep the poor down (although not entirely out). They find people like Ron Paul mean-spirited.
And there are, of course, the people who really do benefit, on the whole, from government. These people also, of course, don't want him in.
The best we can hope for this year is that Ron Paul getting a little more exposure makes people start thinking a little more about what the government should and shouldn't be doing.

I think that, unfortunately for the GOP, the political machine of the party will not allow a candidate like Dr. Paul to win the nomination. The hope that his supporters should have is that Dr. Paul will win enough delegates to have a presence and a prominent speaking role at the convention. He may be the start of a gradual move back to the traditional Republican values of limited government and fiscal responsibility. In a few election cycles, a candidate from the Ron Paul wing of the party will be the nominee, but it will be a slow transformation, not unlike when the Dewy/Rockefeller Republicans gave way to the Goldwater/Regan Republicans.

No, the Establishment is scared of him, because he speaks the truth.
If any of the big power boys behind the scenes supported him, he would be getting all the publicity, not Tweedledum Gulliani or Tweedledee Hillary.
The socialist ideology is so entrenched in American culture, both Republicans and Democrats support socialist programs like Social Security, the Marxist income tax, government agencies for everything. People like Ron are charactorized as heretics because they don't have Faith in the Almighty Government.

I hope so. Well, i would have to save Mike Gravel or Ron Paul, its pretty obvious the media wants up to focus on Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama and Edwards. I wonder if people realize why that is. Just think about it. Why would you want Clinton? She's just more of the same!! We dont need the Clintons in office anymore! We need a gosh darn change! I wish people would realize this. It really really scares me. Barack Obama goes back on his word. You know who hasn't gone back on their word and is straight to the point? Mike Gravel. He is the only one who is straight to the point .. no bull spit!
AMERICANS! Watch the debates, ALL of the debates, online, then you'll know. Do not listen to the tv. Its run by the government. Don't you realize WE NEED CHANGE! No more Bush's, No more Clintons. Clinton and Edwards are tight, that should scare you! Clinton and Edwards were caught on tape, by the news, plotting against Dennis and Gravel. You really want someone like that running our beautiful country?
Watching the debates is like watching a comedy show. Thats all Clinton, Edwards and Obama can do, laugh, joke, laugh, joke! Do you see any of that from Dennis, Gravel or Ron Paul?? NO!
VOTE SMART!

I dunno, but I sure hope he wins the primary. I myself am more left leaning, but I was really impressed with Ron Paul when I heard him speak on C-Span a year or two ago. He was speaking out against the war before it was popular. His basis was on a historical point of view, which when he explained it, it finally felt like someone above the title of mayor in government understood and felt the way I do. I also hope he wins for the sake of good competition. My two candidates I would like to see, but will never happen are Ron Paul and Bill Richardson. I feel they are both outside the polarization of party lines that most the other "frontrunners" would bring. They both are very experienced and I could see them being constructive foreign policy figureheads.

Unfortunately, no. The media won't allow it. Even so, the Republicans would never nominate him, because he doesn't fall in line with their agenda. He has also stated that if he doesn;t get the Republican nomination, he will not run as an independant. So, you see, either way, it just isn't going to happen. It's a real shame, too. He would have made an excellent leader, and would have had the respect of the whole world for his honesty and fairness. I think he was the last chance this country had.
