Encrypt it.

I have no idea what you mean by this question, so I'll have to answer it in several different ways.

1. The best way to prevent someone from viewing the data on the disc is to encrypt it. You can do this with almost any archiving program, such as WinZip, WinRAR, or 7-Zip.

2. To prevent someone from modifying / deleting your data, burn it to a DVD+/-R, not a rewritable medium.

3. To prevent someone from accessing the DVD drive in Windows, you will need to either use a special program, like this one:

http://pcwin.com/Utilities/CD_ROM_Drive_Disabler/index.htm

or edit the registry, which is complicated (and dangerous if you don't know what you are doing).

4. To prevent someone from booting from the DVD drive, set the priority in BIOS to boot from the hard drive first, and put a password on the BIOS setup.

5. To prevent someone from opening / closing the drive, remove or unplug the drive.
