Your basic equation is
amount produced= SUM(rate of production x time).
Here the amount produced = 1 ship
Then 1 = 1ship/30hrs *X hr+ 1 ship/24hrs *X hr OR 1= X/30 + X/24. I believe X=13.3 hrs.

Pump A unloads 1/30th of the ship in one hour. Pump b unloads 1/24th of the ship in one hour.

working together, the unload 1/xth of the ship in one hour.

1/30 + 1/24 = 1/x

Can you take it from there?

x = no. of hours to unload ship.

x/30 + x/24 = 1
4x/120 + 5x/120 = 1
9x/120 = 1
9x = 120
x = 40/3 OR 13 1/3
Answer: 13 1/3 hr OR 13 hr & 20 min
