1.What is your profession?
2.What kind of writing are required for your job? Please include all types.
3.Did you already know to do this writing or did you learn it at your job?

1. I am a Nurse.
2. We write in Medical Terminology and normal english.
We use a black pen as all documentation is a legal
document and can be used in a coroners inquest.
3. Medical Terminology is taught in Nursing.

I am a retired teacher. We have to write lesson plans, worksheets, reports on children. I also wrote songs, plays and poetry to use in the classroom.
Although we covered lesson plans etc at College, you actually learn how to do them best on the job. Expressions for writing reports you learn on the job, using your own creative skills (U are not supposed to be negative about the child)
eg Tracey brings a lively approach to her studies (she doesn't stop talking).
The jargon is constantly changing as well. "Mental Starter"
"Scaffold" to name but 2. Hope this helps
