I have read several books lately and usually go through about 30-50 per month--audio books mostly. Here are some of the best ones by my favorite authors: (I was going to say "page turner's" until I heard the joke "why do people say this book is a real page turner--I know how books work!) Jeffery Deaver, Dennis Lehane, David Morrell and Lee Child, in my opinion they are the best thriller writers in the business!! I am a avid reader in this genre and have read Coben, King, Koontz, F. Paul Wilson, Connelly, and many others but none can touch these authors I've listed! The Deaver book I've just finished reading now is "The Sleeping Doll"--a brand new release and has literally kept me up at nights!! I'm quite sure you'll love his other thrillers as well, such as "The Bone Collector", "A Maiden's Grave", "The Coffin Dancer", "Praying For Rain", "Cold Moon", "The Twelfth Card", "The Vanished Man", "Devil's Tear Drop" et el. For Lehane, start with "A Drink Before War" (don't let the title fool you) then "Darkness Take My Hand", "Sacred", "Gone, Baby Gone", "Prayers For Rain", "Shutter Island" and "Mystic River." For Lee Child, you can start with his first and move forward, but it's OK if you don't. Some personal faves are: "One Shot", "Trip Wire", "Hard Luck and Trouble"--a new release, "The Persuader"-my personal fav, "The Hard Way", but they are all page turners! Also, last but definitely not least is David Morrell. All his books are good, but I especially enjoy his last two releases "Creepers" and "Scavenger" which are guaranteed page-turners. Enjoy, Greg

"Eldest" by Christopher Paolini. You have to give the kid props for writing his first book at 15 then writing a sequal and now working on his third. Right now I'm reading "A Brave New Word" For the second time. It was creapy enough the first time seeing all the stuff that became reality between the time he wrote it and now but since I read it the second time It mentions the nine year war (a slight bit longer than George Bush is in office giving enough time to subside the war), Various bombings that killed many people, and even Anthrax scares. This book is really Bizarre.

I just finished a book entitled 'Eclipse', the third book to a series by Stephanie Meyer. It is definitly a teen series, generally concerning vampires and romance. It's directed at a younger reading audience but its a fast and entertaining read.
(PS Madame Bovary by Gustave Flaubert is one of my favourite books.)

Dombey and Son by Charles Dickens, which took me exactly four months to read! It wasn't his best, and I was rather disappointed in the ending. I am currently reading (or trying to read) The Magician's Nephew by C.S. Lewis.
