I personally wouldn't put a African clawed frog (acf) in with a betta. African clawed frogs will literally eat anything that fits in their mouths. They will grow to be the size of your fist. Also, the betta might kill it, if the betta has claimed territory in the tank. Now if your frog is a African dwarf frog (adf) you can put them together but watch the frog closely.

The African clawed frogs are easy to distinguish from the African dwarf frogs by the number of claws on their hands and by the location of their eyes on their heads. The African clawed frogs have 3 claws, and the African dwarf frogs have 4 "fingers" on each hand. An acf has eyes on top of its head, and an adf has eyes on the sides of its head.

Here's a few links to detailed information and some pictures to help you id your frog...

Dwarf African Clawed Frog

African Dwarf Frogs are ok with Bettas. You just need a 5g+ tank to keepa betta and one frog. I believe it's 5g for the first frog and 1-2g for each additional frog. There has been tales of bettas harassing the frog (My buddy put 2 frogs and a betta in a 2g tank, the betta ate one frog's arm. Yes he's not very bright) and frogs biting fins. Just be sure that they both have a lot of space to avoid any issues. The fin biting is an honest mistake since ADF's have poor vision up close and the betta issues depend entirely on how aggressive said betta is. African Clawed Frogs will eat bettas. They also need about 20g for the first frog.

bettas and ADFS are very common together,

ADFS are different than ACFS due to size, ACFS will end up about 3-4 times larger than a ADF and the ACF will eat fish.

If it is a smaller grey looking frog. You can usually see the nails on the ADFS anyway.

lol they are supposed to be good tank mates but when I added 2 african dwarf frogs into a 2.5 tank with my betta. the betta started biting at the frogs and they both eventually died.

oh yeah I bought another one and it jumped out of my hand and died.
