Sometimes I feel so dead.... When I was a child life was real and lived to the fullest... now all is routine, and logic....how sad!!

It's so much more incredibly complicated. I thought you just grew up, got married (perfect husband would just appear as if by magic), had your own kids, went on family holidays and bought a house and that was that. I know that many many people live this out and do so quite successfully and easily, but here I am 32... and the illusion of that is gone, and to add to the pain I still don't even know what I want to be when I grow up.. LOL. On the other hand... it is so much more interesting than I thought it would be. So much more colourful and obscure.

logic is boring? Oh, its cool. Tell me what was so lively when you were a kid, and why are things so boring now that you've grown up? Rekindle your spirit, read Atlas Shrugged, make it alive again, make friends with passionate people.

After the death of a person, the Greeks asked each other "did the dead person have PASSION?"

Passion is the most important thing. If you dont have passion, your living is same as your dieing. Show us the difference. Show us u r alive, be passionate.

If you dont like the city, experiment with another. Keep on experimenting with everything in your life until you find the right color, the right tone, the perfect shade you want your life to have. You are just looking for something that will suit your mood. Go on, search.

Kids have a very innocent way of believing things. Most of my theories have not changed at all, they are still the same as wen I was a kid. So there is not a big deal. Find your childishness again. :)

That's understandable. As children, everything is new and exciting. There is large array of people who provide us with an ongoing stream of stimulation and entertainment. Even after that, television, computers, games and such allow us to never experience boredom, let alone deal with it.

I would challenge your perception though. A child with parents and living in a culture, it is impossible to live life to the fullest. The past can often be seen through 'rose coloured glassed'. This is the problem of living in the past and not in the present.

Routine, structure and consistency are all essential to us living and doing well. Its our own biases towards these things that make them unpleasant.

I love boredom. Boredom is essential to so many things in life. I also love excitement. I can be happy in either situation.

Everyone feels that way sometimes. You have to find ways to reconnect with being a kid again. Go do something just for fun - ride a bike, climb a tree, eat an ice cream cone with a friend. Life is only boring if you let it be. You still gotta deal with the adult stuff - just make room for the kid stuff too.

And when I really think about it, being a kid wasn't great a lot of the time.

IN some ways, yes. I always knew I would be a writer. From the time I could hold a pencil, I knew. But I kind of always pictured myself married -- and now I was widowed at 47. I am not complaining, because I love my life, but I never expected that turn of events. But the rest is great. Pax - C

I feel that way sometimes. Like when I was a child some where in my mind I thought growing up was going to lead to something great! But really life is just over-rated and nothing is what we thought it was going to be. And thats why everyone wants to be a kid again. Thats when **** didnt matter and we didnt over think things and we just enjoyed life.

No...i didn't care enough to expect anything back then....hence my life was simpler wheni was a kid. Having come to realize all that...i fought and struggled...and stumbled and fell....now i'm a contented retard.
